Hello, a bit about me:

Danny.jpeg

Working at the intersection of communications strategy and national security, I currently serve as the Communications Director and the Foreign Affairs Advisor for Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez. I have worked on Capitol Hill in both legislative teams and communications, handling a wide range of legislative and political issues. Additionally, I've worked in fast-paced and high-impact news writing at both the Washington Examiner and Fox News in Washington, D.C.

I have an M.A. in International Relations from the School of International Service at American University specializing in the institutional decision-making mechanisms of U.S. foreign policy, how U.S. actors exert global governance through international organizations, and why and when U.S. actors choose to intervene internationally. I am a proud graduate of the Florida State University where I received my B.S. in International Affairs and Political Science.

Basic Principles

You can find a resume of my work by clicking here. I strive to center all my work around four core principles:

1) Integrity is sacred. Be factual, be accurate, and have a purpose. Just like you have the power to build a reputation, you have the power to soil it. Be known for the good, never the bad.

2) Be relevant. If you have something to say that isn't relevant, make it relevant. Having a pulse on your audience is the single most critical skill in this space. If you don't have it, you can't do your job.

3) Honesty matters. Be true about who you are and what you are. If you can't deliver on your label, then it's time for something different. Embrace what you stand for and own your space.

4) Fairness matters. Passions tend to flare up in Washington. We are here to communicate ideas. It's never personal. We're human, and that's more important than anything else.
